For Friday, after a very long, somewhat overwhelming week, Lord, we are thankful.

As we have muddled through, sometimes not so graciously, you have been faithful. Thank you for every single way you have loved us through the difficult moments and compassionately provided exactly what we needed. For all the ways you shower us with your best, we are grateful.

For those of us who are anxious or worried or fearful, Lord, we ask that you bring peace and calm to our day as only you can. We confess, Lord, life can be so overwhelming that we sometimes lose focus of you along the way.

Of your power to do more than we can ask or imagine.

Of your goodness which is the best of anything, Lord.

And, of your compassion to want to help us in our struggles.

You are good, Father. You are perfect in all of your ways. And, you are our anchor in the storm. Help us to hold tight to you as we trust you more.

So, take our dreams and hopes and fears and mold them into more than we can ask or imagine in your hands.

Thank you that you love us with an everlasting love, Lord.

In the precious name of your Son, Jesus, who brings peace and joy to our hearts.
