As we slowly find our way to the humble manger scene this season, may we each be reminded of God’s perfect plan.
All throughout scripture He has scattered beautiful stories and plans of the coming of Jesus. Some to foretell his miraculous birth, while others are just hints of His faithfulness to every small detail.
As we go back in scripture and see His plan unfold, may we remember.
Remember even the significance of every single part of His coming. From the donkey that so gently carried Mary to Bethlehem, the place of His birth, to the colt he rode on to the great city of Jerusalem prior to His cruel death.
God foretold so many things long ago, and His plans prevailed. And, each piece of the story is significant.
I hope by recognizing His great attention to detail it will serve as a great reminder of how much He cares about each detail of your life.
Just as He knew every detail and followed through with every plan for the birth of Christ, He knows and cares about you.
He knows each of our stories. Every detail. And, He is longing to be a significant part of our plan.
Maybe, as we prepare our hearts for this glorious season, we could simply invite Him in.
To ask Him to join us on this journey.
To open our eyes to see His hand in the details of our lives.
To draw our hearts closer to His as we celebrate the most beautiful, miraculous gift we have ever received. Jesus.
“See your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the war-horses from Jerusalem and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.”

We thank you, Father, that you care about the details. That you would take the time throughout scripture to point us to the beautiful story of Jesus’ coming. For your faithfulness and consistency we are grateful. Please join us as we prepare to celebrate the birth of your precious Son. Remind us often how much you care about the details of our story. May we see your hand in our lives so our faith might continue to grow. Draw our hearts closer to you so we might fully experience all of Jesus and His miraculous birth this season and always. Thank you for the greatest gift. Our Savior. In His name we pray. Amen.
