So once again the week has come and gone and I am behind.
Yes, tomorrow morning marks a new memory verse. Forgive me!
Summer has taken me a bit by storm this year!
I hope it is because I have been concentrating on those closest to me and trying to stay afloat in my Beth Moore Bible study each week! Although, I confess, with a much more relaxed schedule, other things sometimes grab my attention.
The verse for this past week is a simple, beautiful reminder. In fact, I love the entire chapter of Psalm 103.
I pray we can write on our hearts the Truth of who God is and what He does for us.
Week 8:
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.”
Psalm 103:8
I heard a great reminder this week.
“There is nothing you can do to make God love you more. And, there is nothing you can do to make God love you less.”
His love for us never changes.
He is abounding in love.
Have you read the definition for abounding lately?
I googled it just so I could get a true picture of what this verse means.
I love the related words from Merriam-Webster…brimming, bulging, bursting, chockful!
God is brimming over with love for us!
God is chockful of love for us!
Thinking of these actually reminds me of exactly how I feel about my own boys!
I know. These are my paraphrases, but sometimes it helps me to have a visual I can relate to.
And, the Bible always says it best.
God is love. {I John 4:8}
The God of all the universe is really the perfect example we have of love.
This truth alone should draw each of us into a deeper desire to serve Him, obey Him and love Him even more.
Read this entire Psalm when you have time.
What a beautiful reminder of all God does for us and who He is! So many verses to love and remember in this one. ❤️
These last few weeks of summer, simply recognize the beauty of God’s love for you.
Focus on the truth in this verse and chapter of Psalms.
Find a quiet spot to meditate on God’s love.
Rest in the beauty of His creation.
A sunset, an ocean breeze, cool mountain air, a baby’s giggle, or a bird’s song.
Look for Him. Thank Him. Praise Him.
Sometimes in the heat of summer and the hustle of what is to come, we all need to be reminded of who and what truly matters.

Last week, we traveled to Jackson Hole Wyoming. We visited the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and Swan Valley in Idaho. Throughout our hikes in three different states, He kept calling out to me with His beauty. I’m not sure how anyone can see the beauty He created without believing and worshipping Him.
